Car Thieves Taunt Milwaukee Police in Note: 'Catch Us if You Can'

Milwaukee police officers found notes from thieves calling themselves the "Kia Boys" written on a window and a T-shirt inside a recovered Kia Forte.

Car thieves taunted Milwaukee police in two notes found with a stolen vehicle.

"Catch us if you can," stated a note written on a T-shirt that was in a Kia Forte recovered by officers, WITI-TV reports. The note talked about the "Kia Boys," and a second graphic message was written in permanent marker on the car's window.

"Walking up to my car, it was hard to see that there was only one window left in it and it was disgusting inside," Camille Tracy, the owner of the car, told WITI. "All of my seats had cigarette holes burned into them. There was a big urine smell. There was blood, everything. It was horrible."

No arrests have been made in the case. Over 10,000 vehicles were stolen in 2021, with over 260 stolen in the first days of this year already. Of the 2021 thefts, Kia and Hyundai vehicles made up 70%.
